Teaching Philosophy

Music is inside of every one of us. It is my destiny to accompany you to its magical world and to guide you. All I ask of you is to listen to your heart, open your mind, and dedicate yourself. One does not have to become a professional pianist in order to learn how to play the piano. My goal is to discover one's hidden abilities and develop them by using an individualized approach based on one's goals and aspirations. My philosophy is not to ensure that my students are capable of mindlessly running their fingers on the keyboard. It is my calling is to mentor, guide, and to support technical and musical development of my students.

I carefully craft each lesson that would allow my students to learn something new every day and to reinforce what was previously learned, making their piano playing experience rewarding and enriching. My goal is to ensure that after every lesson a child or an adult leaves with a sense of personal achievement, satisfaction, and pleasure, wanting to further develop and perfect their technique and musicality.

Piano playing is not something that is simply defined as knowing how to play an instrument or read notes. It gives the person a new perspective on the beauty and harmony of music, which can be compared to a beautiful poetry of sound.

Nora with Students

Day after day people get caught up in their daily routine with little or no time left to enjoy a good book, to listen to one's favorite music, or to see the works of art. Some of my more mature students have returned to piano playing 20-30 years later, while some began their piano studies at the age of 70. It is never too late to fulfill your dream in the effort of doing what you love the most.

A teacher is not only someone who tells you what to do and how to do it but someone who guides you, supports you, and watches you with a gratitude of progress you have made. It is essential from day one that all my students see piano playing as something that can be fun and rewarding with profound understanding that only practice will make them perfect.

So please allow me to take you or your child on a wonderful journey to the world of music and piano playing. Feel the music, play the music, and enjoy the beauty and harmony the world has to offer us.
